The two orig. drawings are by Herman Berserik (1921-2002), a river view in black crayon signed "H. Berserik zomer '41", and a view of an empty terrace in pencil, not signed but w. annotation in pencil "Een echte Bers".
The photographs record moments of Stijger's life as a student of the Koninklijke Academie van Beeldende Kunsten and as a member of the Haagse academie-club, incl. group portraits, vacation/ sailing camps. A few names of the depicted people: "Dr. Ir. Plantinga, Directeur", Noto Soeroto, Agnes Brandes, Lous Wenckebach, Herman Berserik, Nel Pot, Kees Nierstrass, Wouter de Iongh, Poekie Burman, "Paulo Citroen", Piet Klaasse, Eddy Croisset, Nora van der Flier and Annetje Zeeman.
